⭐ What You'll Do
As our On-Call RN, you'll take a key leadership role in overseeing daily nursing operations during your shift while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility standards. Responsibilities include:
Leadership & Supervision
- Oversee day-to-day nursing activities and ensure high-quality resident care
- Support Charge Nurses, CNAs, and nursing staff with clear guidance and delegation
- Ensure adequate staffing levels during your tour of duty
- Foster a calm, positive, and resident-centered environment
Clinical Excellence
- Provide direct resident care as needed, including assessments, treatments, and medication oversight
- Perform admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Communicate changes in resident condition to providers and family members
- Monitor documentation, care plans, and treatment schedules for accuracy and compliance
Compliance & Safety
- Uphold facility policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Participate in quality assurance efforts and surveys as needed
- Ensure proper use of equipment, PPE, and safety protocols
- Protect resident privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care
- Participate in meetings, care plan reviews, and ongoing staff development
- Provide clear communication to the Director of Nursing regarding resident status, concerns, and departmental needs
💡 What We're Looking For
- Current, active RN license in good standing in California
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred
- Strong leadership, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to supervise staff, communicate effectively, and handle multiple priorities
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with PCC preferred
