Indianapolis, IN, United States | req26200 Third Shift: 11:00pm - 07:30am, Sunday - Thursday, starting January 2026: 12-hour shift, nights
What you will enjoy doing*
- You will assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management
- Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation is part of your role, as well as to assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations
- You will prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary
- Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
- Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors
- Further, you will assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training
- Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel
- Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
- Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies
- Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, HWP, Respiratory Protection, BBP, etc
- Perform additional duties as assigned by manager
- Comply with all Company and HSE procedures and policies
- You will perform other work related tasks as required as assigned
- Reviews, updates, and maintains JSA's, and other operational documentation
- Participates in Safety efforts as necessary or directed
What makes you great
- You will have a High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as exceptional Organizational skills are required
- You will be able and willing to work any shift as required by the job
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is desired
- Willing to Work extended hours and/or weekends and holidays as required
- You must be proficient in Basic Math
- Ability to communicate and work well in a diverse environment
- Moreover you have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
