Position Summary:
The Sales & Business Development Specialist is a mid to mid-senior level individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and expanding Zippertubing's presence across new and existing accounts. This role blends strategic business development with technical sales execution, supporting customers from initial inquiry through final solution delivery.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Development, this individual works closely with Sales, Engineering, Technical Sales, and Marketing teams to qualify opportunities, develop customized solutions, and ensure customer requirements are translated accurately into manufacturable products.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning the sales cycle, solving technical problems, and influencing business growth—without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, opportunity qualification, quoting, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and account expansion.
- Conduct strategic outreach to target accounts in Aerospace, Defense, Medical, Space, and Industrial markets.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Sales teams to understand product capabilities and translate customer challenges into engineered solutions.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements to support accurate quoting and proposal development.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and support accurate sales forecasting and planning.
- Track key sales metrics, identify trends, and propose process improvements to enhance customer experience.
- Represent Zippertubing at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
- Serve as a customer advocate by communicating needs, obstacles, and opportunities internally.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident (required for ITAR compliance).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 27 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in manufacturing, industrial products, engineered-to-order solutions, or a technical environment.
- Strong understanding of custom or configurable products and the ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specs, requirements).
- Proven track record of generating new business, growing accounts, and achieving revenue goals.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing a technical sales pipeline.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:
- Full Time, in office (Chandler Blvd. and I-10 area)
- Monday to Thursday (6:00am 3:30pm) Friday (6:00am - 10:00am) Off on Saturday's & Sunday's, most of the time.

Additional Requirements of the role:
The Project and Operations Coordinator must demonstrate cognitive ability to, follow directions and routines, work independently with appropriate judgment, exhibit spatial awareness, read words and numbers, concentrate, memorize, and recall, identify logical connections and determine sequence of response and process up to 2-3 steps ahead. Ability to attend work on a regular, predictable and consistent basis and to commute to and from work safely and arrive at work on time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an open multi-occupied office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. At times, the employee may be exposed to airborne particulates, moving mechanical parts and vibrations on the production floor. The noise level can be loud at times.
