Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our account team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a territory of accounts with annual revenues of over $1 billion. The territory is a mix of annuity business and some high growth potential accounts. This role will be focused on delivering results to the company and the best possible customer experience to our valued clients. You will work closely with our product teams to deliver customized market intelligence and custom solutions that meet unique client needs: driving opportunities forward from discovery to closure.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients in the IT and technology sectors across all IDC product lines.
- Deliver the best possible customer experience to our clients to ensure renewal and customer satisfaction.
- Understand client business needs and challenges and match them with appropriate research solutions from IDC.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and accurate forecasting in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development
- Bachelor degree or equivalent industry experience
- Strong understanding of value-based selling
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales enablement tools
- Travel when warranted less than 25%

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $200,000 - $205,000 and is inclusive of base salary and commission.
