Description
Role OverviewThe Salesforce DevOps/Developer is responsible for the technical delivery, configuration, customization, and operational support of the Salesforce platform, including CRM (Sales Cloud), Field Service Management (FSM), and Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing). This role ensures robust release management, environment strategy, and development best practices, partnering IT with business process owners, and integration teams.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Release Management
· Manage CI/CD pipelines, sandboxes, and environment strategy for Salesforce deployments.
· Own release management processes, including build, test, UAT, and production cutover.
· Support biweekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings for release approvals and risk validation.
Development & Customization
· Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Layouts).
· Implement and support integrations with ERP, marketing, support, and financial systems.
· Ensure technical solutions align with platform guardrails, architecture standards, and security requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance
· Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.
· Support business and IT teams in testing scenarios, defect resolution, and sign-off.
Operational Support
· Provide L2/L3 support for incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
· Partner with IT Service Desk for escalations and ongoing platform support.
Documentation & Collaboration
· Maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and release processes.
· Collaborate with business process admins, IT Platform Owner, and integration/data engineering teams.
Continuous Improvement
· Monitor platform performance, reliability, and scalability; recommend improvements.
· Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.

Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development and/or DevOps.
· Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
· Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado, Jenkins) and release management.
· Familiarity with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms).
· Strong understanding of data model, metadata, and security/access models.
· Experience supporting CRM, FSM, and Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing) solutions.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, DevOps Specialist, Integration Architect).
· Experience in enterprise environments with complex orgs and multiple business units.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
