What you will do
The Scientist, Advanced Models and Methods is responsible for planning and conducting moderately complex experiments, analyzing results, and providing solutions to problems of moderate complexity. You will also keep accurate records, review case report forms, and present data at in-house meetings:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine advanced analytical models and test methods aimed at resolving complex scientific issues through rigorous experimentation.
- Employ innovative experimental design and statistical techniques, including Design of Experiments (DOE), to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement state-of-the-art analytical solutions that leverage the latest methodologies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in analytical techniques to ensure the application of best practices in your work.
- Conduct comprehensive research in designated areas utilizing cutting-edge methodologies to drive innovation.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to extract actionable insights that inform decision-making processes.
- Continuously investigate and incorporate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance the overall analytical capabilities of the team.
- Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and persuasively, ensuring effective communication of complex concepts and results.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in developing innovative test methods and analytical models, with a focus on experimental design and statistical analysis. Proficient in conducting Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize methodologies and enhance analytical performance.
- Solid experience with a range of analytical instrumentation techniques, including but not limited to Rheology, particle size and charge analysis (Mastersizer, Zetaziser, ultrasound spectroscopy), DSC, TGA, HPLC, UPLC, FTIR, LC/MS, and GC/MS.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools to derive insights and inform decision-making.
- Critical thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving, capable of tackling complex challenges in analytical development.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in formulation chemistry across a diverse range of product types, such as emulsions, suspensions, and solid oral dosage forms, with an emphasis on method development and optimization.
- Familiarity with chemometrics and advanced statistical techniques, including Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Partial Least Squares (PLS), and Principal Component Regression (PCR).
- A robust understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms applicable to analytical testing.
What's in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$81,175.00 - $114,600.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
