What you will enjoy doing*
- You will work on advanced automation projects involving procedural automation, building automatic sequence logic, implementation at customer sites
- Installation and configuration of Linde image recognition software by combination of edge computing and cloud computing in Microsoft Azure platform

Support the generation of proposals and present solution concepts to customers - You will participate in autonomous operations consulting for customers
- Implement and maintain advanced automation solutions at Linde Gas or 3rd party customer sites. About 30% travel with overnight stays is expected.
- Train and support customer personnel in utilizing LAOS solutions
- Continuously improve the value that LAOS solutions generate for the customer
- Lastly you will participate in the development of IT/OT products & platforms for LAOS
What makes you great
- You will have a Bachelor's / Masters / PhD degree in Chemical (preferable), Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineering or Computer Engineering
- More than 5 years of experience with continuous process plants with involvement in automation & process control. Commissioning / startup experience will be a plus.
- Additionally you will have experience and expertise in computer programming in any high-level languages (Python, VBA, matlab, C++)
- Understanding of IT/OT network architectures, operating systems, and communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus
Passion for new technology - Understanding of P&IDs, heat & mass balances, as well as the unit operations such as distillation columns, compressors, turbines, adsorbers, heat exchangers, cracking furnaces, Steam Methane Reformers
- You will have knowledge of Model Predictive Control (MPC), Real Time Optimizers (RTO) advanced regulatory control (ratio, feed-forward, cascade), static and dynamic process models
- Basic knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC), historian, PID loop tuning
