Location: Nationwide -Onsite at government facilities
Clearance: Moderate Risk Background Investigation
Schedule: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent
Salary: $85,000-115,000/Annual

Job Summary:
The Senior Law Clerk provides high-level legal research, drafting, and case analysis support for complex litigation and administrative matters. This role evaluates legal authority, prepares substantive memoranda, supports motions and briefs, and works closely with attorneys and federal personnel to ensure legal strategy, filings, and documentation meet the highest professional and procedural standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced legal research and produce detailed memoranda citing relevant statutes, case law, regulations, and precedent
- Draft and edit motions, briefs, pleadings, statements of facts, and other court filings for attorney review
- Analyze case material and identify key issues, evidentiary considerations, and potential legal strategies
- Support discovery activities including document review, privilege determination, and deposition preparation
- Assist in preparation for hearings and trials by preparing exhibits, witness files, chronologies, and supporting documentation
- Review investigative reports, financial documents, and technical exhibits to incorporate into legal analysis
- Participate in legal strategy sessions with attorneys and federal stakeholders
- Provide guidance to junior clerks, paralegals, and case support personnel as needed
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Three (3) to five (5) years of legal research or litigation support experience preferred; federal environment strongly preferred
- Expert-level legal research and analytical writing skills
- Strong understanding of federal rules, litigation procedures, and evidentiary standards
- Ability to summarize complex legal and factual information into concise, accurate work products
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Clearance:
Applicants selected may be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment.
Security Requirements/Background Investigation Requirements:
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years
- Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
- Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.
