We're seeking a highly skilled and dependable Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team onsite in New Jersey. This role is pivotal in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness for a diverse employee population. Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accurately process on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls using ADP and Workday, ensuring timeliness and compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws.
- Manage complex payroll activities, including voids, reversals, terminations, retroactive adjustments, and replacement checks.
- Prepare, validate, and transmit direct deposit files and payroll bank settlements, ensuring secure and accurate disbursement of wages.
- Review and correct timecard exceptions and other discrepancies before processing, maintaining audit-ready accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance to resolve payroll-related issues, provide policy interpretation and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Process and reconcile union payroll components, including dispatch slips, pay rate validations, dues deductions, and benefit remittances.
- Generate and distribute compliance and tax reports, including state-specific filings, Occupational Privilege Tax, and other required submissions.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, proactively implementing system or process updates as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and timely responses to inquiries.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of in-house payroll experience, including managing complex multi-state payrolls and special pay runs.
- Advanced proficiency in ADP and Workday Payroll systems.
- Experience with system testing, configuration validation, and payroll integrations strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with union payroll structures and collective bargaining agreement compliance is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and accountability.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and support cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement within payroll operations.

$90,034.00 - $112,543.00
