The University of Houston (UH) invites applicants for a non-tenure track Research Scientist position. The purpose of this position is to provide direct support to the NASA's Human Research Program (HRP). This individual will serve as the Principal Investigator on multiple studies conducted across various platforms including spaceflight and ground-based analog environments. Responsibilities include developing study protocols, managing IRB submissions, conducting informed consent briefings, coordinating data collection, and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, including IRB and NASA-specific policies. The role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts from NASA JSC, DLR (ESA), and IBMP (Roscosmos), as well as clinicians, integrators, data scientists, and regulatory personnel, to collect, analyze, and interpret human subject data.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields. Must have at least 12 years of experience supporting Space Life Sciences.
