Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (Data Modeler) to support a critical project in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with data modeling, Oracle database development, performance tuning, and automation scripting in a Linux environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Required Skills
Proven expertise in data modeling and database schema design.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c including:
DDL implementation
Advanced SQL development
Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Creating scripts for automated schema changes
Understanding of Oracle Label Security (OLS).
Strong Bash shell scripting skills.
Proficient and comfortable working in a Linux environment.
Desired Skills
Experience with Oracle Label Security (OLS).
Experience with AWS RDS for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
Proven SQL tuning experience in both Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Proficiency using Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler and Oracle Designer for data modeling.
Experience with Oracle Spatial.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience using Git for version control.
Python programming and scripting skills.
