Description
As a Solutions Purchaser, you'll oversee the procurement of direct ship hardware, coordinate and schedule shipments, and handle vendor payments. Collaboration with project coordinators, engineers, and sales teams will be essential to meet customer needs. Additionally, fostering strong relationships with 3rd party vendors will be a key part of the role. What will you do?
- Purchase all 3rd party equipment and services that get booked to open sales orders.
- Track progress of orders, through shipment, of 3rd party equipment and services
- Ensure 3rd party sku's are closed promptly on sales order level
- Handle any post shipment issues; ie damage or lost shipments.
- Continually adapt to process changes and monitor current processes for potential improvement.
- Create PO's and ensure orders are placed with vendors in a timely fashion.
- Create and maintain continuous documentation for 3rd party sku's in the cost tracker, ancillary db, and project workbook, as dates will change.
- Track and update 3rd party POs with any changes.
- Close out of sales orders for invoice and revenue recognition.
- Expedite or pushout POs(orders) to meet customer requested delivery date.
- Oversee payment of 3rd Party vendor invoices, including expense POs, and review any AP issues as they arise.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- BA/BS degree preferred
- 2+ years related experience
- Proficient with using computers and familiar with Microsoft applications.
- SAP or Oracle experience is encouraged.
- Effective communication, facilitation and strong negotiation skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively and has strong decision-making skills.
- Experience with conflict management and resolution.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
