What you'll do:
We are seeking a talented, self-motivated, and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data and Analytics team at Customer's Bank. As a Senior BI Developer, you will be responsible for creating and managing a centralized and standardized Enterprise reporting environment to support a portfolio of cross-business line dashboards within PowerBI, working within a team and delivering to support the Analytics strategy of the bank. This role blends executive facing leadership, client delivery excellence, and data stewardship, with accountability for building and scaling differentiated data, analytics, AI, and cloud-enabled offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Architect enterprise semantic models and guide the long-term BI roadmap.
- Develop a technology roadmap aligned with desired capabilities and requirements in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders with moderate guidance to drive data-driven decision making.
- Provide technical mentorship and lead BI development practices. Support training and communications for Business users to drive adoption of reports.
- Build and optimize enterprise-grade Power BI models, datasets, and dashboards.
- Develop advanced DAX and high-performance data models for large-scale analytics.
- Oversee Power BI governance: RLS, deployment pipelines, workspace design, and reusable components.
- Enable self-service BI through training, documentation, and stakeholder support.
- Partner with data engineering to ensure clean, accurate, high-quality analytical data.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse/EDW architecture to modernize BI delivery.
- Work closely with business leaders to translate requirements into actionable BI solutions.
- Communicate insights clearly and influence decision-making across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in BI processes, performance, and reliability.
- Guide the development, implementation, and maintenance of change control and testing processes.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years' experience BI development experience, including lead or architect-level responsibilities.
- Expert-level skills in Power BI (DAX, modeling, optimization, governance).
- Existing technical knowledge of modern systems software, protocols, and standards, including SQL Server, Snowflake/Databricks/Fabric, Python Data Libraries (Pandas/Polars/DuckDB), and Power BI.
- Deep understanding of relational and dimensional modeling, and modern data ecosystems.
- Proven ability to lead BI strategy, mentor teams, and partner with stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly preferred.
- BI/Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Incorporation of Agentic AI into project delivery and/or into client solutions.
- Executive presence and strong commercial acumen.
