The Sr Staff, Supply Chain Specialist - Technology Procurement is a strategic role responsible for leading and executing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for technology-related goods and services, including hardware, software, subscriptions, and data. This role serves as a key liaison between IT, Supply Chain, Legal, and business units to ensure procurement activities align with organizational goals, deliver cost efficiencies, and mitigate risk.
They will proactively manage vendor relationships, lead negotiations, and support contract lifecycle management. They will also advise stakeholders on renewal planning, licensing strategies, and sourcing opportunities to maximize value and performance across the technology portfolio.

The Sr Staff, Supply Chain Specialist - Technology Procurementwill work in our Houston Corporate office and may work up to two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain a multi-year Technology Procurement Roadmap aligned with IT strategy and business objectives.
- Partner with IT and business units to define requirements, assess usage, and forecast future needs.
- Facilitate business case development for new and renewal purchases, ensuring alignment with budget and strategic priorities.
Sourcing & Negotiation
- Lead sourcing efforts and negotiations for technology purchases, renewals, and subscriptions.
- Develop and execute cost reduction and avoidance strategies while securing optimal commercial and contractual terms.
- Establish negotiation goals and track performance against value realization targets.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Oversee contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, including coordination with Legal for reviews and redlines.
- Ensure contracts comply with internal policies, mitigate risks, and support long-term supplier performance.
- Maintain visibility into contractual obligations and provide actionable summaries to business owners.
- Identify and mitigate risk in technology related contracts (Data Privacy, Machine Learning, AI, SLA's, Ownership of Data, etc.)
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business needs and performance expectations.
- Support IT in identifying overlapping services, rationalizing vendors, and optimizing spend.
- Lead supplier performance reviews and develop metrics to assess value delivery.
Governance & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Technology Steering Committee, IT leadership, and Supply Chain on procurement activities, risks, and opportunities.
- Track and report on realized savings, contract milestones, and sourcing pipeline.
- Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and procurement innovations to identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 19 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management with a minimum of 5 years' experience in technology procurement (software, hardware, data subscriptions)
- Strong contract negotiation and management skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement tools
The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired/ Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related technical field
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Icertis
- Deep understanding of licensing models, SaaS agreements, and subscription-based services
- Proven ability to develop and execute cost-saving strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
