Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a Staff Water Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in San Antonio, Texas.
Collaborating with our experienced Water Professionals, you will support and drive development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national, and global teams.
Role accountabilities:
As a Staff Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, permitting, and managing projects related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. The role involves providing engineering support during construction, conducting sustainability and resilience assessments, and preparing reports and presentations for clients. You will also assist with field data collection, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and leverage digital tools such as BIM, SharePoint, and Power BI to enhance project delivery. Occasional travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, and construction oversight.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Good communication and writing abilities.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study and EIT certification.
- 3 years of relevant experience in design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, process modeling software, GIS, database management and data analysis.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68,187 - $112,509. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
