Description
As the core care team liaison, the Success Coach assesses the needs of associates at assigned location(s) to address barriers related to stability, development and economic mobility. The Success Coach coordinates with internal resources and provides strategies to help associates overcome obstacles and reach their goals. The Success Coach regularly monitors progress toward the associates well-being and achievement of their employment goals, including promotion and placement.Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Assesses barriers to maintaining employment for all associates at assigned location(s). Regularly completes the support needs assessment to identify, prioritize, and coordinate supports.
2. Identifies internal and external resources available to meet identified needs, including but not limited to basic support referrals, Goodwill Academy of Virginia offerings, and other internal resources. Supports associates with basic budgeting and other financial coaching tools.
3. Collaborates with leadership across assigned location(s) to build rapport with associates, with a focus on job retention.
4. Acts as the core care liaison by regularly meeting with and coordinating care across various departments for the associates' retention and development needs.
5. Evaluates and assesses associates' skills, interests, aptitudes to determine goals, career /job focus. Provides associates with one-on-one coaching to support personal and professional development. Supports associates to engage in development opportunities which align with professional goals.
6. Completes and updates intake data, supports needs assessments, service plans, case notes, and
other documentation in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner. Reviews and maintains program files in accordance with agency standards.
7. Supports process development by identifying continuous improvement opportunities in service logic model based on experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• 1-3 Years' experience in a related field preferred.
• Social work or other related credential preferred.
• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
• Required to pass state and federal criminal background and sex offender checks. Depending upon contract specifications, may also be required to pass CPS and LEIE background checks and other background checks as necessary.
• Ability to operate PC and databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Information Privacy and Security
This associate may have access to Confidential Information (CI) and is required to be familiar with the Goodwill Privacy policy 10.23 related to the handling of CI, and follow all related procedures required to protect the privacy and security of CI.
Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions
• The associate is required to lift 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Walking or standing to a significant degree involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.
• The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
• May be required to work at multiple designated work sites or may be reassigned as needed to other contract sites.• The associate is required to travel throughout the Goodwill service area.• The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate
