The role consults with hiring managers on all aspects of talent acquisition from job postings and recruitment strategy, sourcing and screening candidates, and presenting/negotiating offers. The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops an understanding of the University's talent needs and utilizes strategies to execute consistent and effective recruitment processes in compliance with all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and labor laws. Duties and Responsibilities:	Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members to strengthen relationships and build/implement cohesive, centralized recruitment processes across the University. Foster an equitable and engaging experience for all stakeholders—including candidates, hiring managers, and teams—while ensuring compliance and attracting mission-driven, community-oriented, high-performing talent to Villanova. Coordinate position review and posting process. Develop timelines and milestones for search process and approve/route requisitions in the applicant tracking system. Ensure all job descriptions and postings are accurate and compliant with all federal/state laws and University policy. Become a trusted talent partner and develop an understanding of the community's talent needs. Consult with hiring managers on recruitment procedures and processes, and the development of recruitment strategies to decrease the time to fill/hire. Manage and drive a structured interview process. Prescreen applications, select and refer qualified candidates, and conduct initial interviews as needed. Assist hiring managers and search committees in the development of role-specific and behavioral interview questions and selection rubrics. Monitor candidate pools to ensure searches are progressing, hiring managers are timely in their recruitment activities, and hiring recommendations are defensible and support the chosen candidates. Deliver a smooth and exceptional candidate experience from the first outreach. Evaluate the University's current processes, tools, and resources and make recommendations to increase effectiveness and improve the candidate experience. Manage the internal candidate process, ensuring a positive experience that aligns with University policy and frameworks, provide guidance on career pathing and opportunities for professional growth. Recommend starting salaries, in partnership with the Compensation team, conduct thorough reference checks as needed, and deliver and negotiate offers staff offers with knowledge of University benefit offerings.. Coordinate timely hiring processing in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Research ways to attract new candidates and develop innovative sourcing strategies to build robust candidate pipelines. Consult on faculty search processes as needed, including reviewing job postings and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. Drive equity at every stage of the talent acquisition process in alignment with legal compliance and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:	Formal Education: (e.g., degree) Bachelor's Degree required; a combination of post-secondary coursework along with significant work experience (5+ years) and/or certifications may also be considered. HR certification (such as PHR or SHRM-CP) and/or master's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred. Specific Job Knowledge: (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area): Knowledge of human resources full cycle recruitment. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of talent acquisition. Knowledge of equal employment opportunity principles and guidelines as it pertains to talent acquisition and candidate experience. Minimum Work Experience: (type and number of years) A minimum of 2 years' of related experience in Human Resources. Demonstrated experience executing current practices in full cycle recruitment. Skilled in using applicant tracking systems and reporting. Experience that supports the establishment and maintenance of positive working relationships with diverse constituents. Work Skills: (e.g., written and verbal communication skills) Must exhibit in philosophy and practice a high level of support for the mission and values of Villanova University, the Human Resources department. Must be able to serve as a community builder, collaborative business partner, team player, and servant-leader, valuing and working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds and life experiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must be highly organized and willing to learn. Must have ability to handle multiple priorities and function independently and effectively under heavy workloads and during peak periods. Must demonstrate a high level of resourcefulness, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of responsibilities. Must be able to protect confidentiality of information at a high level. Equipment Knowledge: PC, laptop, telephone, office printer/photocopier.
Preferred Qualifications:	HR certification (such as PHR or SHRM-CP) and/or master's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.

Salary Posting Information:	This position falls within salaried grade 15 and the range for this position is $64,000-80,000. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
