If that sounds like you, you can win at Wilsonart.Position Overview: Warehouse AssistantWilsonart currently has an opening for a Warehouse Assistant. This person performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendorsChecks and places materials in the correct binChecks material against the manifest and reports discrepanciesInforms supervisor and photographs all defective materialsCuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending ordersReads, interprets, processes, and packs ordersPerforms total skid count for loadsAdhere to all established safety protocols and proceduresAssists the needs of the customer KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to learn computers sufficient to check inventoriesAbility to learn materials inventoriedAbility to learn packing techniquesAbility to learn proper material handling techniquesAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independentlyAbility to drive a lift truckAbility to read and understand customer ordersAbility to operate a sawAbility to enter data at an acceptable speed EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED EXPERIENCE1+ year relevant warehouse experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDSPerforming task with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.Frequent walking and standing throughout the day is also required. ENVIRONMENTLocated in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgmt., laundry workers and yards/grounds staff COMPENSATIONThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-$23/HR, DOE.
