Description
Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a Full-Time Youth Care Worker (2nd Shift) to join our residential program teams. This role involves supervising youth in our care. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with an hourly rate of $18.
2nd Shift Differential: $0.50

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Supervision of residents.
- Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
- All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program.
- The first week of training will be mostly completed during Monday-Friday, First Shift hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Ability to be a positive role model.
- Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
- Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
- Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
- Ability to manage personal stress.
- Administer appropriate medication(s).
- Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
- Transportation of residents.
- Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
- Ability to work with youth of all ages.
- Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming.
Requirements
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
- Must be 21 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred.
- Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
- Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
