Description
As an Advanced Defense Hardware Qualification Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful qualification and certification of defense hardware products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define qualification requirements, develop test plans, and execute testing activities. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of defense hardware systems.You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, new hires will work onsite M-F.
In this role, you will impact the development and certification of cutting-edge defense hardware systems, ensuring their compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You will impact the success of our engineering teams by ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for supporting test engineering activities for various projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of test processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate advanced testing activities for aerospace systems and components, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures using state-of-the-art testing tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, development, and quality assurance to define test requirements and resolve issues.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in test engineering, preferably within aerospace or related industries.
- Strong expertise in advanced test methodologies, test automation, and data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with aerospace testing tools and software such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar platforms, and experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards and regulatory requirements relevant to testing and validation.
WE VALUE
- Advanced degrees such as Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with certification processes and compliance testing for aerospace products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and improve testing processes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL for test automation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing project priorities.
