Overview
The Calibration Technician maintains the accuracy of controlled measurement tools and systems to ensure the integrity of CPT's measurement methods. Executes the calibration
process in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage the calibration program
- Plan calibration activities per systems timeline.
- Review calibration results
- Enter calibration data and records into calibration system
- Issue exception reports as needed
- Maintain calibration data
- Perform in house calibration per documented instructions
- Issue purchase orders to calibration providers
- Verify calibration services
- Coordinate measurement equipment service calls as needed
- Issue purchase orders for operations inspection equipment such as rules, gage pins, calipers as directed
- Special inspection or related projects as assigned by Quality Engineering Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3+ years' experience in production, tooling, or inspection activities
- Basic understanding of calibration
- Basic understanding of metrology equipment
- Basic understanding of measurement analysis techniques
- Can use GageTrak software
- Ability to perform limited gage inspections
- Able to work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others
- Proficiency at using Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detailed, accurate, focused
