This is a part-time position, working on an as needed basis, requiring approximately 40 hours per week, which will include nights, weekends, and/or holidays

About the Role
Our Case Specialist will work closely with the Case Specialist Lead, Case Specialist Senior Lead, Assistant Project Director, Lead Project Director, ORR Federal Field Specialists. Data Analysts, other workers/staff, or stakeholders as applicable and in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Office of Refugee Resettlement's (ORR) Unaccompanied Children Program and its care providers, and any additional clients and programs TPG supports.
What You'll Do
The Case Specialist will work to hasten the unification process, shorten the time UAC remain in ORR care, provide adequate and effective coordination, and mitigate risk for ORR and TPG.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive background checks on sponsors, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and stakeholders.
- Perform detailed sex offender registry searches to verify sponsor eligibility and maintain organizational safety standards.
- Process and review Child Abuse and Neglect Registry forms, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurately recorded.
- Review and verify submitted documentation with a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners to support the sponsor screening process and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Conduct quality reviews of work to identify potential errors or process improvements, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Manage and update sponsor cases using Zendesk or similar case management systems, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and efficient resolution of inquiries.
- Upload, organize, and maintain files across multiple platforms, including SharePoint, Word, PDF, and Excel, ensuring all information is properly categorized, accessible, and up to date.
- Review the quality and accuracy of all completed work to ensure compliance with organizational standards, data integrity, and consistency across records and reports.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice management reserves the right to revise these duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years' experience in a professional setting.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant behavioral science (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficient in using computers, laptops, and smartphones, with strong familiarity in social media platforms, web chat tools, and common source-language expressions and colloquialisms.
- Demonstrated ability to service a diverse group of clients, including refugees or other vulnerable populations.
- Proven experience and high level of comfortability operating technology and learning new software applications quickly.
- Organized, works with a sense of urgency and is a deadline-driven self-starter; capable of juggling multiple priorities at once and executing each to completion despite obstacles.
- Strong interpersonal skills; enjoy working collaboratively and cross-functionally across departments and Social Services Agencies to deliver the highest quality of work under extreme pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Duties are performed via a government approved computer system. Employees are required to possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to type 55 wpm.
Work Environment
- You will be required to complete 2 weeks of mandatory live training, to include webinars, self-paced training, and in-person/web-based workshops.
- Travel assignments may be required based on project need, though program leadership will attempt to minimize travel by assigning tasks to those who reside closest to the site where a support need exists.
- Tasks/assignments are dynamic and will change based on client needs and resource availability, meaning the Case Specialist is expected to provide additional administrative support, including the completion of data entry and paperwork, as required.
- Hybrid work schedule (onsite/remote):
- When working within 30 to 50 miles of an office, you will be required to work in-office as agreed upon by the management team. If/when working remote, you must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.
- Additionally, there is potential to support some home office work, based on project need and workload. This option is only available if you are not required to support a contract within close proximity to your home or required to TDY.
Work Schedule
- Due to the importance of this position, employees supporting this contract may be required to work extended hours including evening work, support on-call assignments, and work weekends to support time-sensitive or real-time complex services, schedule is subject to change at any time based on project needs.
- This position is considered ESSENTIAL Case Specialists are required to report and work during emergencies or crises, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc.
Conditions of Employment
- Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process.
- Complete a Drug Test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid U.S. Driver's license.
- Have the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
- Available to travel as necessary.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
- Child Abuse / Neglect (CA/N) or child protective services check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- U.S. Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
