Description
The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven conversations with our senior leadership. This individual will partner closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to uncover actionable insights and deliver impactful solutions. By leveraging advanced analytical techniques and storytelling skills, the analyst will help shape the future of our business. This role requires being in the office 3 days/week on Tues - Thurs.
This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
What you'll do
- Work directly with Data and Analytics professionals, IT, Sales, and customers to design, document, test, and support the construction of internal and customer facing Data Visual solutions that tell the desired insights story.
- Follow existing strategies, standards and best practices in the areas of data visualization, data access and data integration within Equifax's new big data analytical platforms.
- Create eye catching and informative presentation-ready visualizations and analyses for internal or external clients using Spotfire and/or other open source visualization technologies.
- Build wireframes and mockups of dashboards and reports as needed to communicate visualization/functionality internally and to clients
- Use agile data methodologies for extraction and transformation of data using platforms like SQL, R, Hive, Impala, and/or Python to derive data marts to drive dashboards and visualizations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
What experience you need
- BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a related role
- Experience working in multiple languages including, JavaScript, Python, and SQL
- Experience using Tableau & BI tools is a plus

- Advanced degree in a quantitative field
- Experience in a professional services consulting role
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
- Experience with product management, product ownership, or data engineering
- Experience in Human Resources, Background Screening, Criminal Justice, and/or People Analytics
- A passion for data and a desire to make a significant impact
