Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and dedicated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. This position plays an important role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served in accordance with facility standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
• Assist with food preparation, stocking, and inventory as needed.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service.
• Accommodate special diets and modified textures as directed by dietary management.
• Adhere to all state, federal, and facility regulations.

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, or food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
• Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
