Role description:
Join Arcadis as a Staff Electrical Engineer and help shape the future of federal facilities. In this role, you'll bring your deep expertise in facility design to high-profile projects for U.S. Government agencies. As a trusted Federal Designer, you'll support electrical design across multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and federal clients to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.
Expect variety, challenge, and the opportunity to influence critical infrastructure. With approximately 20% travel for site visits and client engagement, you'll see your designs come to life and build strong relationships along the way.

Role accountabilities:
- Key member of multiple electrical design teams to produce construction-ready design packages that clearly reflect design documentation and scope compliance
- Design facilities focused on the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), with specific focus on SCIFs, ICD 705 compliance, TEMPEST shielding. Familiarity with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS is a plus.
- Ensure compliance with federal and industry standards (UFC, UFGS, NFPA, NEC, NESC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UBC, IEC, CE, EN)
- Fluency in design and modeling software, especially ETAP and SpecsIntact, also Revit, Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, Elum Tools, SKM, EDSA, Easy Power.
Qualifications & Experience:
- U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project work)
- Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federaI government/agency projects
- Proven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Registered EIT. Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills related to presentations, speaking, and written work

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $135,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
