Description

Engineer II for the (Newport News) group will utilize their basic knowledge of engineering as they perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment. This individual applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in accordance with established criteria (policies, standards, etc.) to perform assigned tasks.

DUTIES

1. Perform basic design tasks
2. Author routine technical reports
3. Participate in engineering of routine OEM and Service contracts and proposals
4. Perform Engineering Studies
5. Present designs in design review meetings
6. Interact with external customers, A/Es, vendors, and/or sublet engineers
7. Partner with others within the same discipline
8. Exercise limited judgement on details of work and in application of standards methods for conventional work
9. Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1. B.S. in Computer Engineering, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Minor in Computer Science
2. 1+ years' of relevant experience required
3. Obtains oral and written communication skills
4. Must be able to work both independently and in a group
