- Flights Ops Specialist
Description
As a Flights Ops Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our flight operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating flight schedules, managing flight plans, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. You will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our flight operations.In this role, you will impact the overall success of our flight operations by ensuring that all flights are planned and executed with precision. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.
The Aircraft Maintenance Planner reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for multiple aspects of planning in support of aircraft scheduled inspections and engineering modifications. Specific responsibilities will be to:
- Track aircraft utilization using electronic databases to develop and distribute accurate schedules ensuring full compliance with aircraft inspection programs, FAA airworthiness directives and manufacturer's service instructions
- Prepare detailed work packages for scheduled inspections which include inspection program task cards, airworthiness directives, service bulletins and service instructions which will be used by aircraft mechanics and technicians performing these inspections.
- Create work instructions that will allow for the efficient completion of planned maintenance activities.
- Work closely with flight test engineering and the engineering planner to integrate the maintenance schedule with the overall FT project schedule.
- Ensure GSE and Special Tooling requirements are identified.
- Managing the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as maintaining FAA regulatory compliance on a fleet of 10-12 aircraft. Working closely with Flight Test Engineers and planning cell members to schedule engineering projects on aircraft.
- Schedule aircraft heavy maintenance with outside vendors and manage the maintenance event. Including monitoring vendor progress against the posted schedule, supporting vendor issues, facilitating contracts and agreements completion, monitoring cost and ensuring timely payments.
- Deploy with aircraft during test campaigns.
- Member of Flight Test planning cell. Reviewing new project requests and assigning maintenance resources for the week.
- Member of Corridor maintenance tracking implementation team. Key Corridor training team member.
- Alternate parts purchaser for the department.
- Teach and mentor team members on aircraft maintenance techniques, Corridor best practices, specialized equipment operation.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in flight operations or a related field
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry best practices
