Description
As a Lead Engineering Technician II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Aerospace business unit in Phoenix, Arizona. You will lead a team of technicians and provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes and systems. Your leadership and technical skills will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business.You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the Aerospace business unit by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our engineering processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. Your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of technicians and provide technical guidance and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes
- Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices
- Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results
- Install, configure, and maintain RF communication systems
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
- Conduct RF testing and tuning using equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and service monitor
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and support configuration
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role
- Strong technical skills in mechanical systems and components
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in RF systems, radio communications, or related
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electronic communication equipment
- Proficiency with RF test and measurement tools (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzer, power meter)
- Experience in installation and maintenance of antenna systems and RF infrastructure
- Knowledge of industry standards such as R56 and FCC compliance requirements
- Ability to program and configure radio systems and code plugs across multiple platforms
