Description
As a MEMS Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the development, design, testing, and launching to production complex MEMS used in aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects to create and improve MEMS technologies. Your experience in systems engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of aerospace technology.You will report directly to our Sr. Manager of Engineering, working out of Plymouth, MN location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support Honeywell Aerospace's aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.

- Lead stakeholders' interactions and ensure timely and successful delivery of projects within scope and budget.
- Work across disciplines, collaborating with cross-functional teams consisting of Systems, Hardware, Test, and Manufacturing Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and can work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems engineering.
- Systems requirements development, validation, integration or verification.
- Lead the MEMS design and implementation of advanced tooling and processes for manufacturing of MEMS used in inertial instruments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Lead the creation and review of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Honeywell Aerospace's guidelines and standards.
- Manage and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through to production.
- Perform, in close collaboration with stakeholders, cost estimation for design projects and their implementation in the manufacturing floor.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Engineering Degree Electric/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace/Physics Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in MEMS or ASIC design/manufacture/test or similar job experience related to Analog Electronics.
- Proficient in ProEngineer/CREO
- Proficient in ANSYS, Siemens NX, COMSOL, or FEMTools
- Demonstrated experience designing low noise, high performance, analog front ends, signal chains from measurement to point of digitization.
- Experienced with data collection systems, e.g. LabView
WE VALUE
- Masters or Doctorate in Electric/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace/Physics Engineering.
- Familiarity with Siemens L-Edit MEMS (or similar) layout and mask design using Electronic Design Automation (EDA)/Computer Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE) design tools.
- Experience in PSPICE/QSPICE/SPICE, LTSPICE, TINA circuit simulation software
- Familiarity with use of high-performance analog to digital converters (high resolution >20bits, audio frequency range bandwidths, instrumentation grade)
- Familiarity with IPC circuit card and assembly design and process standards
- Familiarity with electronics Design For Manufacturing (DFM), and Design For Test (DFT).

The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000-160,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
