Description
As a Lead Software Engineer here at Honeywell Aerosapce, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers, driving the development of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the success of our business.Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and developing high-quality Core Software architecture and applications.
- Integrating Flight Management software for new product development.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
Qualifications
US PERSON REQUIREMENT
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
- Strong C++ or Object-oriented programming skills.
- Comprehensive experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong software architecture and design development skills.
WE VALUE
- Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience in developing software for embedded systems.
- Multi-core / multi-thread development experience.
- Strong understanding of OOAD approach and concepts.
- Software development lifecycle experience per DO-178C.
- Experience with Software Verification and Validation using C++.
- Strong analytical and software development skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
