- Machine Operator: Finishing - Bindery Operator 1

Are you a mechanically inclined operator with a sharp eye for quality? We are looking for a skilled Finishing Machine Operator / LEO2 to join our production team.In this role, you will take ownership of our high-performance laminating machinery-setting up runs, monitoring critical variables like film temperature, and troubleshooting on the fly. Pay : $21.00 /hr. - $27.40/hr.
Shift: Sunday - Wednesday 7am to 7pm
Location: Hagerstown MD

Job Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Efficiently set up, operate, and maintain industrial laminating machinery according to production schedules.
- Process Monitoring: Keep a close eye on production runs, consistently monitoring film temperature and overall machine performance to ensure an optimal finish.
- Precision Adjustments: Make necessary mechanical tweaks on the fly using standard hand tools to minimize downtime and prevent defects.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular, meticulous quality checks to guarantee that the final product meets our top-tier company and customer standards.
- Safety First: Strictly follow, support, and promote all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Support your teammates and take on other production duties as needed to ensure the shift succeeds.
What You Bring:
- Technical & Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanically inclined with a natural ability to troubleshoot and handle minor machine adjustments using hand tools.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on product quality, numbers, and precision settings (like heat and speed).
- Core Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to easily read, understand, and execute complex written instructions.
- Leadership & Teamwork: A true team player who communicates effectively and has the confidence to provide direction to helpers or peers when needed.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior experience in a manufacturing or mechanical operator role.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
Strength: Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Environment: Able to work safely and comfortably in a fast-paced manufacturing plant environment.
