Job Description:
Vitalant is seeking a Clinical Apheresis Coordinator dedicated to making a positive difference. Under minimal supervision, you will provide advanced administrative support for assigned location. Responsible for management and coordination of departmental training, deviation management, ordering of supplies and equipment. Working under the supervision of a nurse, assists the Clinical Apheresis team with setting up apheresis machines, facilitate the clinical process, including obtaining medical history, vital signs, phlebotomy and monitoring patients throughout procedures.

Schedule: Days --Hours may vary dependent on need. Occasional weekends and holidays.
Training: Days Monday-Friday
Base Wage: $20.34 - $26.33/hour (based on years of relevant experience)

- Maintains supply logs, including obtaining applicable Certificate of Analysis (COAs).
- Ensures all patient records are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
- Generate error reports in the deviation management system, as assigned.
- Assists with scanning of records to Field Medical Director.
- Assists with the assigning and management of training and correspondence in the LMS.
- Clean and prepare procedure rooms, stock supplies, obtain vital signs, obtain patients medical history, perform routine phlebotomy, document procedure results, and assist nurse, as needed.
- Perform quality control on documents, supplies and equipment.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance on all equipment. Perform validations of equipment, as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
- High School graduate required.
- Medical Assistant, nursing assistant or related education or experience required.
- Basic CPR certification required.
- Medical Assistant, certified nursing assistant, or equivalent preferred.
- One year (minimum) of recent work experience in a physician's office, blood donation center or direct patient care/clinical setting required.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
- Six months experience in Blood Center environment preferred.
