Your Role
The Production Lead will provide direction and monitor assemblers in tasks and order priority as directed from Manager. The Operations Lead may assist and/or handle duties to assist the Supervisor in completing assigned tasks.
The Production Lead:
- Prepares the production floor for daily production
- Monitors daily production and adjust production based on daily order requirements
- Assist supervision in evaluating and improving operation processes and meeting production targets.
- Support Lean Manufacturing techniques and implementation on the shop floor.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations, as well as development and implementation of Corrective Actions, related to identifying defects or process failures internally and externally.
- Work cross functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Logistics as required.
- Provide direction and training for other unit assembly employees.
- Follows detailed assembly instructions and processes.
- Performs machine setup where applicable; runs machines and processes.
- Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use
- Follows Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety.
- Participation and encourages others in Continuous Improvement process
- Participation and encourages others in Near Miss program
- Must remain up to date on all training; (i.e., safety, 5S)
SPECIFIC DUTIES PER POSITION:
- Ability to lead and/or direct work processes in all cells.
- Ability direct/reassign assembly employees to complete tasks in timely manner
- Ensure safety guidelines and work process are followed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Follow all company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
- Work independently and employ effective time management skills.
- Over-time as required.
QUALIFICATION
Knowledge & Skills:
- Assembly, Testing.
- Recent experience in soldering/desoldering
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Good math skills
- Good MS Office software skills
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to read, understand and follow relevant assembly, testing, and QMS procedures.
- Zero disciplinary write ups in the last 12 months.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent:
- High School degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience with manufacturing processes.
