As a Process Engineer I, here at Honeywell, you will optimize manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and drive operational efficiency. Collaborate with teams, develop strategies, and conduct process analyses for improvement. You will report directly to our Engineering Program Manager, and you'll work out of our Richardson, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
The Process Engineer I supports the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes for Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) products. This role is focused on ensuring process capability, manufacturability, and continuous improvement, while enabling the successful transition of MMIC devices from engineering into stable production.
The position collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure processes, equipment, and systems operate efficiently and meet safety, quality, and cost objectives. Responsibilities include identifying process issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, designing experiments, and supporting documentation and fixture development to drive consistent, high-quality MMIC production.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the engineering authority for MMIC products across the product lifecycle, from transition from development through production and customer support.
- Provide application engineering support to customers, including troubleshooting, technical guidance, and creation of datasheets and application notes.
- Perform RF/microwave measurements, including product characterization, acceptance testing (ATP), and ongoing product performance monitoring.
- Support product development through IC package, test fixture, and evaluation PCB design, as well as modeling and simulation activities.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and generate technical reports.
- Assist with production activities, including low-volume MMIC assembly, die inspection under microscopes, test support, and product delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and product performance through cross-functional teamwork and data-driven analysis.
- Participate actively in team meetings and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
- Assist in the design of IC packages, test fixtures, and evaluation printed circuit boards (PCB).
- Support Engineering team in troubleshooting and preparation of technical reports.
- Assist design engineering team in modeling, simulation, and design tasks.
- Customer support of MMIC products including application engineering support, generation of datasheets and application notes.
- Collaborate in team meetings and activities.
Qualifications
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or related Engineering curriculum.
- Coursework relating to RF design or Electromagnetics (RF theory).
- Knowledge in active device theory fundamentals (FETs and diodes).
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export law.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
We Value
- Two (2) years of RF circuit design or related experience.
- RF design, simulation or modeling experience using AWR or ADS simulation software.
- RF measurement experience such as small-signal s-parameters.
- Knowledge of RF/Analog circuits, FET transistor theory, and microwave fundamentals.
- Experience user of AutoCAD or Ansys, SolidWorks.
- Understanding of RF measurements using a vector network analyzer.
- Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset, with strong organizational and time management skills in dynamic environments
- DOD work experience.
