Project Manager - Data Center

Location

Kingsport, TN (and regional Southeast project sites)

Position Summary

TEC Industrial is seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager with Data Center experience to lead large-scale, fast-paced construction projects. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of complex industrial projects—ensuring safe execution, schedule adherence, cost control, and strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in industrial construction and hands-on experience delivering mission-critical/data center projects.

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide leadership and management for large-scale industrial and data center construction projects

·         Manage project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics

·         Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements

·         Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow

·         Manage change orders and contract administration

·         Coordinate engineering, procurement, and field teams

·         Serve as primary client contact

·         Lead project reviews with executive leadership

·         Ensure successful delivery of mission-critical systems

·         Drive planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation

Data Center / Mission-Critical Focus

·         Medium/high-voltage electrical systems

·         UPS systems, generators, and backup power

·         Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chilled water)

·         Control systems and commissioning/startup

·         Coordinate commissioning teams to ensure reliability and uptime

Qualifications

·         7+ years industrial construction project management experience

·         Proven data center or mission-critical project experience

·         Strong knowledge of mechanical, piping, and electrical systems

·         Experience with project management tools (Primavera P6, Procore)

·         Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams

·         Strong communication and client-facing skills

·         Bachelor's degree preferred
