Description
Responsibilities:- Assess the psychiatric and mental health needs of children, adolescents, and/or adults.
- Complete initial psychiatric evaluations, medication management appointments, medication checks, and psychiatric consultations.
- Diagnose psychiatric and mental health conditions within the scope of professional practice.
- Develop individualized plans of care and treatment recommendations based on client needs.
- Prescribe psychiatric medications and provide ongoing medication management in accordance with professional, legal, and ethical standards.
- Monitor client response to medication, side effects, treatment adherence, and ongoing clinical needs.
- Provide education to clients and/or caregivers regarding diagnoses, medication, treatment recommendations, side effects, and follow-up needs.
- Refer and link clients with additional services, supports, or community resources when clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with therapists, administrative staff, medical assistants, pharmacies, referral sources, and other providers as needed to support coordinated care.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with company guidelines, best practice standards, managed care standards, and professional requirements.
- Submit assessments, progress notes, medication documentation, and other required records within established agency timelines.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, caregivers, staff, pharmacies, providers, and outside agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, company policy, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and administrative communication as assigned.
- Maintain all required licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing education requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
