Job Summary
Serves as TriWest's primary liaison/representative to VA management and staff, and the Veteran communities, within a specified geographic area to support the VA Community Care Network (CCN) and other contract objectives. Develops collaborative relationships with Department of Veterans Affairs facilities in a geographic area to understand customer challenges, improve customer satisfaction with current contract services, identify and drive provider network expansion opportunities, and further develop business growth through identification and reporting of business opportunities. This Director will be assigned as the field liaison to ensure TriWest is adequately meeting the needs of Veterans, contracted providers, and VA staff and facilities and optimizing these facilities with customized networks that complement their capability and capacity. The Director will support customers with problem solving and optimization initiatives.
The Regional Director works closely with VA Medical Center (VAMC) management and staff to educate on TriWest processes and systems and efficient healthcare delivery opportunities. Develops proposals for improved healthcare delivery and care coordination for the direct care system, Veteran's healthcare system, and community healthcare. Responsible for managing the business relationship and serving as the primary point-of-contact for anticipating and resolving issues.
Education & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field
• 7 years middle to senior management experience, with increasing responsibility
• 3+ years recent healthcare experience
• Strong customer service orientation
• Prior experience serving VA and/or DoD contracts
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field
• Executive-level experience working with VA or military health services systems
• Knowledge of the business relationships between network providers, patients, and managed care providers
• Military healthcare administration experience
• Managed care or Third Party Administrator experience
Key Responsibilities
• Working with a team of indirect personnel, Regional Director will serve in a consultative capacity to establish MOUs, liase on program operations, facilitate joint planning, review analytics for trends and optimization opportunities, and facilitate join design, execution and monitoring using a variety of program support tools.
• Measures, evaluates, and reports on TriWest performance on customer service, contract requirements and the quality and effectiveness of integrated operations between the customer's direct care system and community provider network.
• Provides leadership through frequent communications, meetings, and training sessions with staff to assess the environment and to promote TriWest's plans, goals and cultural values.
• Serves as the "Account Manager" representing TriWest in matters between TriWest and the VA.
• Maintains frequent communication and functions as the direct care facility's primary point-of-contact for service and issue resolution with TriWest departments.
• Builds collegial relationships with senior customer leadership in identified markets and service areas.
• Interacts and maintains effective working relationships with TriWest staff, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and TriWest subcontractors.
• Oversees relationship-building activities with the geographic area.
• The Regional Director also works closely with other TriWest departments and team members to drive service delivery improvements on behalf of the VAMC staff including the ongoing analysis of network adequacy, assistance with community provider issue resolution, VAMC optimization, and other contractual performance requirements.
• Assists with provider contracting and engagement.
• Leads the continuous process of enhancing efficiency, cost-control, and customer satisfaction with TriWest across the geographic area.
• Participates in external interactions on overall contract performance, changes in business requirements, and overall TriWest performance within the geographic area.
• Collaborates with other TriWest functional managers including Human Capital, Medical Management, Contact Center Operations, Provider Services, and other Regional Directors to stay attuned to diverse and emerging issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

TriWest job postings typically include a salary range, which can vary based on the specific role and location, but generally this position ranges from around $148,000 to $165,000 per year.
