- Senior Supply Planning Supervisor - Rotable
Description
As the Senior Supply Planning Supervisor- Rotable, you will own and lead the end-to-end rotable supply planning function, directly supervising a team of two Supply Planners. You will lead supply planning processes, optimize inventory, and ensure timely product delivery. You will drive efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Senior Director Materials Management, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid, work schedule.You will be accountable for setting the strategic direction of rotable bank management across global Repair & Overhaul (R&O) sites, driving process standardization, and ensuring that inventory levels reliably support shop turnaround time (TAT) targets. This role requires a hands-on leader who can both guide their team's day-to-day execution and elevate the function through data-driven insights, cross-functional partnership, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Supply Planners, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and deliver structured performance reviews to support team growth and goal attainment.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the team, removing roadblocks and enabling planners to execute effectively.
- Champion team adoption of standardized planning processes, tools, and best practices across all sites.
Rotable Supply Planning Ownership
- Own and maintain optimal rotable bank inventory targets, ensuring alignment with repair shop TAT goals and operational demand signals.
- Lead the Bank Health Improvement MOS, driving structured cadence reviews, accountability to targets, and cross-functional alignment on corrective actions to restore and sustain rotable bank health.
- Establish, control, and continuously improve all processes governing rotable bank sizing across each R&O shop.
- Drive optimization of safety stock levels within the rotable bank to balance service levels and working capital efficiency.
- Lead the identification and resolution of material-related problems specific to rotable parts, coordinating across purchasing, material planning, production planning, and inventory control.
- Own the escalation and resolution process for rotable bank shortages and emerging supply risks, ensuring proactive communication to leadership and stakeholders.
KPIs, Dashboards & Analytics
- Own and maintain KPI dashboards and planning tools in Tableau and/or Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, timely refresh, and actionable visibility for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Define and govern the metrics framework for TAT performance and rotable inventory health, continuously refining KPIs to reflect business priorities.
- Deliver regular reporting and data-driven analysis to senior leadership, translating complex supply chain data into clear, decision-ready insights.
Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the deployment and ongoing standardization of rotable planning processes across global R&O sites, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Identify and champion process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies to reduce waste and improve planning efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard work for rotable supply planning, keeping documentation current as processes evolve.
- Ensure full compliance with the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) and applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with operations, quality, procurement, and production planning teams to align supply strategies with repair shop requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for rotable supply planning across internal stakeholders and global site leadership.
- Represent the supply planning function in cross-functional initiatives, projects, and executive-level discussions.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 4+ years of Supply Chain, materials management, or supply planning experience.
- 1+ year of experience leading, supervising, or formally mentoring a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in MRO/R&O planning environments.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI/reporting tools for KPI dashboard ownership.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle SQL, EDW).
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives; Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus.
- Proven track record of driving results through others and building team capability.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global organization.
