Description
Westminster Communities of Florida, a nationally recognized not-for-profit church related organization, is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator for its affordable housing communities in Downtown Orlando. Our team members work with excellence and serve with heart. This position is responsible for conducting a person-centered assessment to understand the needs of the resident and develop and modify a resident's required services. The main objective of the Service Coordinator is to link the residents residing in the community to supportive services necessary for them to remain independent and in their own homes.
The position requires a knowledge of supportive services and other resources needed for the population of the community. The Service Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served. The Service Coordinator will display creativity, flexibility and knowledge of various technology sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are strongly preferred due to the needs of the resident population. The ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking residents and their families is highly valued.
ESSENTAIL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling, or related field is required.
2. Two to three years expeirence in social service delivery with senior citizens and non-elderly disabled.
