Senior Advanced Systems EngineerAs a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and manage complex systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency. Work on cutting-edge projects and shape future technology solutions. You will report directly to our Sr Eng Pgm Manager, and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
- Mechanical Systems design and component controller integration
- Electro-Mechanical System and Component Modeling and Analysis
- Control architecture and design
- Physics based model development and system design
- Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
- Mechanical Systems validation & verification
- Customer technical interface
- Effective delegation of work to team members
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering systems experience
WE VALUE
- Master's degree in system design and controls or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the systems and component development lifecycles
- Experience with systems requirement flow down
- Experience with DOORs
- Experience developing RCCA plans and execution, with demonstrated results.
- Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
- Experience with aircraft ECS component development and system integration.
- Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
- Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
- Control theory basics (block diagram representations of nonlinear and linearized systems, frequency response, gain and phase margins, time constants and interactions, etc.
- Systems simulation (proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software)
- Thermodynamics experience
- Fluid dynamics experience
- Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
- Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
- Effective communicator
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
- Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
- Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
- Experience with systems requirement V&V
