Description
The Sr. Director of FP&A for Public Safety provides strategic financial leadership across several complex lines of business, including VINE, Incarceration Intelligence, Justice Intelligence, and Compliance. This role is a critical strategic business partner tasked with using data and insights to unlock growth, identify new product opportunities, and improve operational processes. Beyond core finance, this leader acts as a bridge to the sales organization, using predictive analytics and pipeline data to manage the business and set accurate revenue forecasts. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented self-starter who leverages AI tools to enhance financial modeling and drive efficiency across the enterprise. This role requires being in the office 3 days/week on Tues - Thurs.
This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a primary advisor to Senior Executives, using deep data insights to proactively identify growth opportunities, vet new product ideas, and optimize cross-functional processes.
- Sales Accountability & Pipeline Management: Partner closely with Sales leadership to hold the organization accountable to revenue targets. Utilize CRM and pipeline data to manage business health and drive high-accuracy revenue forecasting.
- Financial Leadership: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning for all Public Safety product lines, navigating complex fulfillment platforms and billing systems.
- AI & Process Innovation: Implement and utilize AI-driven tools to enhance predictive analytics, automate financial reporting, and streamline business processes.
- Thought Leadership: Deliver formal communication of financial results and strategic metrics to business partners, providing the "story behind the numbers" to drive short- and long-term objectives.
- Market Analysis: Maintain an in-depth understanding of micro and macro-economic trends to derive a greater understanding of the drivers of business performance.
- M&A & Integration: Support M&A activities and the financial integration of new acquisitions into the Public Safety portfolio.
What Experience You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Business, Finance, or Mathematics.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A and Financial Modeling, with a proven track record of supporting high-growth business units.
- Sales Operations Integration: Significant experience managing sales organization accountability and using pipeline data (e.g., Salesforce) for revenue forecasting.
- Technical & AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for financial forecasting and predictive analytics. High proficiency in Tableau, data visualization, and Google Suite/MS Excel.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a thorough understanding of Accounting principles and consolidations.
- Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Public Sector: Support with business units that interface directly with public sector clients. Well-versed in navigating complex federal and state agency structures, procurement processes, and government funding cycles.
What Could Set You Apart
- Advanced Degree: MBA or MS in a related field (Finance, Data Science, or Business Analytics).
- Systems Expertise: Experience with Oracle and Hyperion (HFM and Planning) strongly preferred.
- Advanced BI Skills: Expert-level knowledge of Tableau or similar BI programs to create automated, real-time business dashboards.
- Public Safety Experience: Prior experience in the Public Safety, Government Tech, or Justice Intelligence sectors.
