THE POSITION
As a Subcontracts Specialist Principal here at Honeywell, you will lead the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts supporting key Honeywell programs. The selected candidate will support the Machining Government Sourcing team. They will be responsible for training and mentoring other team members as well as leading a commodity(s) within the team. Starting with proposal, fulfillment of the sales order, and ending with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase orders. The Principal Subcontracts Specialist will deliver compliant FAR15 packages to the Government, work closely with the Pricing organization, and work negotiate with suppliers to get FAR15 compliant subcontracts in place.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing all subcontracts with suppliers for products and services
- Work with program office/contracts group
- Administer existing subcontracts
- Maintain subcontract records and financial forecasting
- Stay updated on regulatory changes
- Communicate with subcontractors
- Identify and resolve subcontract issues
- Evaluate bids and proposals
- Respond to data calls and audit activities
Qualifications
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to US export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, perm resident, protected status under asylum/refugee, OR can obtain export approval.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of procurement/subcontracts administration
- DoD procurement subcontracting experience (FAR15)
- Detailed understanding of DoD Procurement Life Cycle
- Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
WE VALUE:
- Bachelor's or MBA preferred
- Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of the program lifecycle
- Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, SAP, and other business tools used in the execution of subcontracts management activities
- Strong organizational skills
- Supply chain experience
- Procurement experience within defense, aerospace, or similar industry
- Experience managing subcontracts FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.
- Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD)
- Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions
