Seneca Foods in Rochester, MN is currently seeking a Tote Sorter Utility Worker - Day Shift to join our team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid time off and much more. Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

This position requires the ability to perform all general labor jobs competently and work in a rotation for each job. This is an hourly, union position and wages start at $24.79 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• General labor duties on various productions lines, maintaining efficiency, accuracy and quality of production.
• Sanitation and general housekeeping in work areas
• Ensure GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules, company policies and regulations are being followed and enforced
• Other duties as assigned by management

Duties and Qualifications:

• Inspect and sort totes and tote posts
• Must be able to drive Forklift
• Must be able to bend, lift, carry, push and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions.
• Ability to climb, extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be knowledgeable with the layouts of the electrical control panel and function of each of the machine controls.
• Must maintain good housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be able to read and write in English legibly
• Must be able to tolerate temperature variances
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Ability to work and function in a team environment
